It’s going to be a scorcher today so I got my “exercise” in early. That consisted of cardio, a gentle saunter down to brunch, combined with some phone-camera-weight bicep curls to take photos.
Aaaand finally, check out the spare tire cover. I like this guy’s style:
Waiting on a chile relleno... going to be so good.

Nice CJ-5. In fact nice selection overall, I wouldn’t kick most of those out of my garage if I had ‘em.

Yeah in my neighborhood we don’t get a lot of new flashy stuff, but there are definitely a lot of car lovers here. In fact there was a mini flock of Packards out today after I did my actual workout.

Wow, nice. I definitely live in the wrong neighborhood.

We have these guys not far away, I wouldn’t be surprised if they had a hand in bringing it over

Cool! There are one or two importers in Halifax, but nowhere near as many here on Canada’s East Coast as there are further inland and out
West....

Are all Paos that pale blue? I’ve never seen one in person in any other color, and not only is Torch’s blue, he’s got a buddy local(ish?) to him in NC with one in that shade as well.
Nice 245, except for those sad, sad wheel covers. And they’re actually Volvo covers (stock on some flavor of FWD), not the shitty Wallyworld specials they could pass for.
eta: what’s the beer?

Beats me about Pao colors, TBH I woul dn’t have known this one except for Torch’s pao.
Agree on the wheel covers. I didn’t get a good pic, but the inside is a gorgeous biscuit leather. Mmmm.
Beer! It’s a pFriem IPA, they’re based in H ood R iver. Their flagship IPA is delicious but actually I think their Golden IPA is better!

I love pFriem! I don’t think I’ve had the Golden, just the Flagship IPA. Excellent stuff, even though I’m a bit tired of IPA & the amount of space it continues to take up in the craft beer realm . Usually pretty easy to find around Seattle, but their fantastic pilsner has been absent for much of the summer. Sounds like the aluminum can shortage has impacted them.
That’s most likely biscuit pleather. Aside from some mid 80s 240GLs (and those hideous 262 Bertone coupes), 240s didn’t get leather. Pretty decent vinyl, as far as that goes, but gimme the cloth upholstery.

L et me know if you want me to mail bottles of golden and of pils. They’re about a dime a dozen here :) I don’t know how to private message so sorry ab out that...

Ha, thanks! Shipping would be a killer, even for the canned versions. I may head down to visit friends in Portland later this month, and I’ll stock up if so.
I just looked at pFriem’s site, and holy crap, I had no idea they made so many different beers! I’ve seen maybe a quarter of them, and a sizeable portion of those were at Horse Brass last winter. They must be a bigger operation that I realized.
There’s no private message function in Kinja, which is probably good. I can’t imagine what a cock-up they’d make of that.
